GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring tripeptide (glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine) with high affinity for copper(II) ions. First identified in human plasma in 1973, GHK-Cu concentrations decline significantly with age - from approximately 200 ng/mL at age 20 to 80 ng/mL by age 60.
