DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide)

DSIP is a naturally occurring neuropeptide first isolated from rabbit brain tissue in 1977. Composed of nine amino acids (Trp-Ala-Gly-Gly-Asp-Ala-Ser-Gly-Glu), it was originally identified for its role in promoting delta-wave sleep patterns in EEG studies. Subsequent research has revealed a much broader range of neuroregulatory functions.

Mechanism of Action

DSIP modulates multiple neurotransmitter systems and neuroendocrine pathways.
